Ryan was a very bright light shining on a very gloomy disease. I lost my dearest friend & brother-in-law shortly after Ryan passed away. Mike passed away 29 days before his 30th birthday, May 5,1990. I was able to be with Mike until his very last breath and I am very grateful to Ryan & his family to help educate me & have the strength to make it thru this most horrifying disease. I hope Mike was able to meet Ryan in Heaven, as I hope to also some day!

MY PRAYERS GOES TO HIS FAMILY AND I READ HIS BOOK AND I LOVED IT.I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE MET RYAN WHITE. HE SEEMED LIKE A GREAT KID.HE DIDN'N DESERVED TO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE IGNORANCE OF OTHERS BECAUSE HE HAD AIDS.HE DIDNT ASK FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM BUT HE HAD TO LIVE WITH IT AND PEOPLE IN KOKOMO COULDNT SEE THAT. RYAN WHITE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE A HERO TO ME.R.I.P.

I believe that Ryan as a good guy and and a difference in people and himself. Showing that just because you have AIDS,your still the same person you were before. He lived his life while he could and changed the way people thought about him and how they thought about AIDS. He is one boy that should be remembered now and forever.

Having grown up in Indiana, I watched Ryan on the news and talk shows every time he was on.  He was a great kid that seemed to be fighting a battle most of us could not imagine.  His life had so much meaning and purpose, he knew everything he wanted to do and did it with courage.  I was fortunate enough to meet Ryan once and will never forget it.  Now much later in life I have come down with an incurable illness that will more than likely end my life at some point.  I thank Ryan, his sister and mother for showing me how to find the strength to know how to try to fight something that is horrible.  I am living life as normal as I possibly can and not letting my illness effect my dreams.  If there is an afterlife, I hope I can spend it with Ryan.  God Bless you all for your wonderful comments about him.

Ryan White, was and still is an amazing guy.
He knew what he wanted to accomplish and he didnt give up. Sure it was hard on him. At times he probably wanted to give up, but he never did. It's guys like Ryan that can make a huge difference, which is excatly what he did. He's a big insperation and someone who helped me better understand what it was like for him. Ryan, wherever you are, Thank you soooo much for teaching the world about AIDs and HIV. Thanks Ryan, you're an insperation and hero to everyone who rembers and honors you.

look i am doing a research report on aids and the only person that helped me to understand is Ryan White he has made a big difference in my life because it is true it doesnt matter if you have aids or hiv but its the person with it i think he didnt really deserve it but maybe god gave it to him because he was such a good influence on others with aids and with out. i wish i could have been around because i would not have been one of the haters i would have been one of his good friends.

I actually wish I could have been one of those people around when he lived in Kokomo. I would have showed all of those haters that Ryan wasn't a bad person, actually Ryan was a good person with a bad disease. I'm very happy though that when Ryan went to Hamilton Heights High in Cicero, Indiana my cousin became good friends with Ryan.
