International Day of Play
June 11
The first-ever International Day of Play, to be observed on 11 June 2024, marks a significant milestone in efforts to preserve, promote, and prioritize playing so that all people, especially children, can reap the rewards and thrive to their full potential.
Beyond mere recreation, it is a universal language spoken by people of all ages, transcending national, cultural, and socio-economic boundaries. This shared passion fosters a sense of community and national pride.
It also fosters resilience, creativity, and innovation in individuals. For children in particular, play helps build relationships and improves control, overcome trauma, and problem-solving. It helps children develop the cognitive, physical, creative, social, and emotional skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Laughter Yoga is a movement Dr. Kataria started in 1998. Simply put, strangers assembled in groups just to laugh and soon became friends. As infectious as laughter itself, Laughter Yoga is now practiced around the world. Reap the benefits of laughter and make it part of your routine.
Guitars in the Classroom
Guitars in the Classroom provides free music integration classes for educators and school staff working with children of all ages in educational settings. They show educators how to make music, lead music for learning, and how to write songs with students in order to enhance and deepen their learning experience. Integrating music helps students learn everything from English and math, to science, physical education, social studies, visual arts and more!
