My Hero is Allen Iverson, AKA DA Answer. The NBA is his footstool and he rules the league like an empire, averaging about 30.3 points per game, 7.7 assists and 2.7 steals. These are all career stats which means that he actually averages more than that a season. Those kind of stats are hall of fame stats and he's only 30 years of age. WOW!

Da Answer was born in Hampton, Virgina on June 7, 1975. He was a great joy to his mother. Even though his father wasn't around to support him, he still had a male figure to inspire him later in his life his stepfather. His stepfather tried to support his family but jail was a first home for him. If it wasn't for him, little Iverson wouldn't know how to play basketball.

Iverson was a very good football player and everyone knew this but his mother didn't agree with Iverson's passion. She thought that Allen would get hurt. Ms. Iverson pulled him off of the field. He cried all the way to the gym where she signed him up to play basketball.

Iverson's mom took the rent money and bought him brand new Jordans for his first game. I think that was a good investment. Now she doesn't even have to wear the same pair of shoes twice if she doesn't want to.
