Children who are starved, beaten, and traumatized end up becoming suicidal or even psychopaths.  In this case the child becomes a world wide international icon a master of both film and martial arts this is Jackie Chan.  Even when born into a poor family on April 7, 1954. He revolutionized the action film industry, martial arts, and extreme stunts. With hard work and dedication he achieved the tremendous giving him traits of being a hero.  Jackie Chan possess the traits bravery and a admirable personality.  He executes all his own stunts and incorporates comedie in most all his movies.  Not even his injuries can stop him from doing all his stunts.  Jackie Chan a man with no limits possesses bravery and optimism; therefore, he is a hero.

"From 5 A.M. to midnight every single day, we had to work and train. Anyone performing below expectations was starved and whipped." Pupils gave up whatever they earned during performances in exchange for free room, board, and tuition.("Jackie Chan." Newsmakers) .”  Jackie Chan went to a school where they would beat and starve them that alone would cause mental scarring to any person let alone children.  Just by even at the start of his life he had to obtain a huge amount of courage to even get through this type of experience.  Not only did he graduate from the China Drama Academy but he also ended up being an international star.  Mr. Chan takes pride in how he completes all his stunts by himself.  “Police Story (1985) contained an especially dangerous pole-sliding stunt that nearly paralyzed Chan after a fall in which he broke two vertebrae in his spine. Encyclopedia of World Biography)”  He not only has overcame one of the most cruel upbringings but has also had innumerable near death experiences.  This portrays his courage and willpower when he is down he will get straight up.  He also has broken numberless bones but still proceeds to do his own stunts.  Jackie Chan is an unstoppable fighting machine no matter what happens he will push on even if its a broken spine.


120387Jackie Chan helping kids in povertyindiatoday.inHe has been through countless obstacles and has used his optimism to never get him down.  His impeccable attitude leads him to do things like this.  “Chan is a noted philanthropist whose causes include conservation, animal welfare and disaster relief. In 2006, he announced that he would donate half of his assets to charity when he dies.(A&E Television Networks).”  After all Jackie Chan has been through he still has a positive attitude and takes advantage of it to give to others.  Even when Jackie Chan was born into poverty and endured struggles he now instead of being greedy he donates to charity showing his great attitude.  Jackie Chan's optimism does not stop here it even displayed by his acting style in his movies.  “As Hilda Wang of the New York Times noted, "Mr. Chan practically invented 'kung fu comedy,' in which martial arts are mixed with humor, with the actor himself often laughing--along with the audience--at his own antics."("Jackie Chan." Newsmakers).”  Also this presents how even when its an action movie it still is filled with comedy.  Broken bones,  near death experiences, abuse, and starvation after all these encounters Jackie Chan has been through he still stands strong and goes through with a good attitude.

 

120767Jackie Chan vs Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragonquora.comJackie Chan has many qualities that make him a hero such as he is courageous and optimistic.  He has been through grueling experiences such as when he was young he was left in China at the China Drama Academy.  There they abused and starved the students.  Jackie Chan also has had many accidents which nearly took his life.  Jackie Chan uses his personal experience to inspire others.  He was born into poverty and then left at a school where he was beaten.  With this he then did the impossible and became a famous actor/stuntman.  Jackie Chan is a man who has overcome the impossible,  at no time gave up when times were tough, and most off all inspired millions.
