This is a portrait of my grandfather in his old dental office. He had immigrated to the US in the 1970s, sacrificing what he had in Korea.
This is a portrait of my grandfather in his old dental office. He had immigrated to the US in the 1970s, sacrificing what he had in Korea and even leaving my Mom behind. Initially, he had started working as a janitor in the US and is now a retired Dentist with multiple clinics. My grandfather is a reminder and inspiration to me about the value of hard work and tenacity, and he is a hero to me in that he sacrificed so much to establish a good life in a new country for my family.
