If you are helpful you can help poor people. Jimmy Carter was smart and helpful. He was smart so he helped Israel and Egypt not fight any more. Also he was helpful and helped poor people and people that don’t have homes.

His dad was a peanut and cotton farmer. After he finished high school Jimmy went to college. After he finished college he married Rosalynn Smith in 1946. After they married they returned to Georgia and worked on Jimmy’s family farm. When he was there he helped the community. In 1953 Jimmy’s father James Earl Carter died. In 1976, Jimmy became the president of America. In 1978 he helped Israel and Egypt to stop their war. He was president until 1980. After, he built the Carter Center. The Carter Center helps poor people. In 2002 Jimmy won the Nobel Peace Prize. Jimmy is still alive and he is 93 years old in 2017 and he still helps many people. I thinking building the Carter Center was his best idea because the CC helps poor people.
