JJ Watt is a hero to many people, especially in Houston. He helped raise more than $37,000,000 for Hurricane Harvey. His original goal was $200,000. He also has had many accomplishments in his life like winning awards and helping his city when they needed help the most. (And also how he learned to never give up and always chase his dreams).

Justin James Watt was born on March 22, 1989 in Pewaukee Wisconsin. He is a pro football player that plays on the Houston Texans. He is a 4 time pro bowler. First, with the help of his 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Keefe, he learned to never give up on his dreams. He went to the University of Wisconsin. Although he was doubted by many people, he kept going. (JJ has helped many people in his life). The bond between JJ and his brothers is really strong, they even have tattoos of their first names. (Then JJ helped by not just raising money  but helping people get out their important belongings and helped clean out the wreckage of Hurricane Harvey. JJ also went to a few Astros games and threw first pitches and gave the Astros their All Star jerseys. In addition, he got to announce his journey through Harvey and how he helped out other people).

JJ’s accomplishments are that he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, an award the NFL gives to a player. Other accomplishments are wanting to raise ony $200,000 and instead donating 37 million dollars. JJ also has his own foundation where you can donate some money to some people that may have lost their homes. These are the reasons why JJ Watt is a hero to many people. I think that JJ did this because after the destruction that Hurricane Harvey left in his city he didn’t want it to look the that way and helped fix it. JJ Watt had many accomplishments and helped people in need in his life. These are the causes of why JJ Watt is a hero. Finally my last reason of why he is a hero is because he is a person who doesn’t just care about himself but also cares about other people and living things around him. JJ Watt helped raise 37 million with a lot of accomplishments. I think that JJ Watt is a hero to many people.
