Joan of Arc

Joan is a Arc is a true hero to me because she led a whole French army! If you´re wondering where Joan of Arc lived, well look no further because, she lived in a small town in France. She also saved many people in France.

Joan of Arc was born in 1412.  In 1425 she began to hear voices, saw delusions, and suffered from major depression.  Joan of Arc only lived from 1412 to 1431, but she led a whole French army to victory at 18 years old. She left her hometown because Archangel Michael told her to protect the people of France.

Joan of Arc had many accomplishments. She won the war in France at only 18 years old. She was a true hero to me.  She saved many, many people in France. Joan of Arc was the first woman to fight in a war as well. She was a women’s rights activist. She was burned at the stake for witchcraft and protesting for women’s rights but later, the Catholic church said she was innocent and made her a saint.

When Joan of Arc was sentenced to death she said, “If I am not, may God put me there; and if I am, may God so keep me.”
