LeBron James

“I need music. It is like my heartbeat, so to speak. It keeps me going no matter what is going on - bad games, press, whatever!” LeBron James was quoted as saying. In Lebron James’s past he wasn’t as fortunate as you and I are today. But since he was a less fortunate child, he is trying to make it better for today’s less fortunate children. His background and accomplishments make you feel like wow, LeBron James does always try to make the world improve itself.

LeBron James’s early years were a struggle for him and his mother. On December 30th, 1984, in Akron, Ohio, LeBron Raymone James (Sr.) was born. When LeBron was in elementary school and in middle school he was one of the less fortunate, but his passion was always to play sports. He played basketball and football. LeBron James also strived to be the best student possible (prior to going to the NBA). While his mom struggled to provide, he persevered through rough financial times. Eventually, LeBron James went on to become an NBA superstar.

LeBron James has accomplished more than what you think he has. His accomplishments range from earning the title of MVP (Most Valuable Player), to opening a family foundation in 2004, and opening a school. Lebron’s net worth is $275 million. With his wealth, he funded his family foundation, assisted single parents and those less fortunate, as well as donated to other charities.  When James opened his school, I Promise, LeBron guaranteed free tuition, free uniforms, a free bike and helmet, free breakfast and lunch as well as snacks, a food pantry for the family, GEDs (General Education Diploma) and job services placement, and guaranteed tuition to University of Akron to those who graduate. Then again, LeBron James is always trying to make people hopeful for humanity.

LeBron James has gone through some pretty tough times in his life which is hard to believe considering his success.  It is debated that LeBron James is the G.O.A.T (Greatest of All Time) in the world of basketball. His early years to his current accomplishments are what I think makes him above and beyond superstar level. His desire to pay it forward to society, less fortunate families, and children are beyond impressive. Not only is LeBron James an exceptional athlete, but he uses his fame and power to make the voices of others heard.
