A hero to me is someone that you look up to and someone that has done something for you and/or something for a city or town. A hero is someone who is brave and speaks up for you. A hero is someone to look up to. A hero helps many people. A hero also is an underdog who tries something new.

In my world, my hero is Trevor Linden. He is a professional hockey player who has played on the Vancouver Canucks for 11 years. He is a personal hero because for the past 11 years he has done so much for his community in Vancouver. He has volunteered numerous hours in his community helping younger children read on “Raise a Reader Day.” He has also given a lot of money to Canucks Place and spends time visiting sick children in B.C. Children’s Hospital. He has given me confidence playing hockey and he is a role model for many children.

Trevor led the Canucks to the Stanley Cup finals in 94-95. He made the fans so excited back then. When he played for the Medicine Hat Tigers, he got 110 points. Linden is very proud of his accomplishments as a hockey player. He also has many friends such as his team's players. Trevor Linden could be a personal hero to anybody who likes hockey.

Trevor Linden loves helping children when they are in need. He loves cheering up everybody that he thinks is down. You should always think of Trevor as a warm-hearted person who loves children. People also like him as a hockey player. Trevor is my hero and always will be!
