Malala Yousafzai

by Shae Wallner from Cochrane

122007malala webShaeI choose Malala because she changed the world, because in her country girls weren't encouraged or allowed to go to school. My book is an autobiography because Malala wrote it herself, she wrote 197 pages. The book takes place from when she was ten years old to when she was 15. She published the book on October 8, 2013. She wrote her book when she was ten years old.  She grew up in Mingora, Pakistan.

122008malala portraitshaeShe was born on July 12, 1997. She grow up in Mingora, Swat Valley, Pakistan. Malala’s father's name is Ziauddin, her mother name is Toor pekai and her two brothers’ names are Kushal and Atal. From 2013-2015 Malala went to Edgbaston Public School. When Malala was little she wanted to go to school, but she couldn’t. She also wanted to write a book and be Prime Minister of her country, so she could help girls go to school. Malala  was the only 10 years old when the Taliban took control of her region while she was growing up. Malala is helping to change the world. She was shot in the head at the age of 15 and survived it.

122010malala actionTeagan/shaeShe  got shot in the head and she survived. The doctor gave her surgery, so she got better. When she was having trouble she would go talk to her father. She is strong, brave, powerful, loving, and kind. Malala has a bit of memory loss. Malala got shot and forgot a few things. Malala won a Nobel Peace Prize and ten more. Malala surprised me by changing the world and by helping girls go to school. I would want to be Malala because she changed the world and survived after her accident.

I like the book because she told all about herself from and she added lots of detail and talked about her life. She talked a lot about when she was little. What I learned was that she wanted to go to school, but lots of people said she shouldn't go to school just because she a girl and she is changing that idea in the world. I like the book because she adds lots of things that changed the world in many ways. I would like to because. I happy that i did read it cause she let girls go to school.
