A hero is somebody you can look up to, somebody who tries to achieve a very high goal. A hero is also courageous.
My hero is Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe is a hero to me because she was a great actress and tried very hard to entertain people all over the world. Marilyn’s real name is Norma Jean. When she was child she had to go to a foster home since her mother was having some medical difficulties. She had to live with her foster parents for the first seven years of her life. Her foster parents were very strict. They thought of her as nothing. They told her she was nothing. After these seven years she went to live with her real mother. Her mother was having some more medical problems, so she lived with a close friend of the family. She was having some financial problems, so Norma was put it an orphanage. Lots of people thought of her as nothing just as her foster parents did.
Marilyn Monroe is my hero because she didn’t have a perfect childhood but she still achieved her goal of becoming a well known actress. Even though people told her she was nothing, she showed them that she wasn’t nothing.
My other hero is Drew Barrymore. Drew Barrymore is a hero to me because she is a great actress and very devoted to her work. I look up to Drew Barrymore because I love to act. I like to watch her movies to see what techniques she uses.
Drew Barrymore had some incidents with drugs. By the age of ten she was already an alcoholic. By the age of twelve she was on major drugs. Drew is also a hero to me because she went to rehab and fought her way out of drugs all by the age of thirteen. Usually, it is very hard for people to get out of rehab so soon, but with strength and courage Drew could. I think Drew is a great actress and very courageous.
