      Mei Hui Huang works around the clock in order to raise me up on her own. She has unlimited energy, always giving me a hand whenever I’m in need, and best of all, she has been always by my side while I was growing up. To other people, she’s just an ordinary woman who lives an ordinary life, but to me, she is the most respectable person in my life. My dear mom is also my superhero.

Helping me do the School Club affairspersonal picture      Something tragic happened during my childhood, which made my mother become even stronger. When I was eight, all of a sudden, my dad died of pancreas disease. Thus, I felt like that my world was torn apart in the blink of an eye. However, even though this bad news made everyone break into pieces, my mom still tried to stay composed. She was either busy working or taking care of us. Although tiredness occasionally knocked my mom down, at that moment, she would think of me, being worried about my future, and then this encouraged her to go on. "You’re my baby. You’re my hope,’’ she said to me, but actually her effort and hard work inspired me a lot. She’s my sunshine and she’s my hero.

      Year after year went by, and the excessive fatigue caused pain in many parts of her body. Fortunately, both my brother and I have grown up, so she doesn't have to worry about us anymore, and the heavy burden on her shoulders could gradually be put down. Currently she spends less time on work; instead, she participates in charity, giving a hand to whoever is in need. I still remember what she told me when we were chatting: "There are too many people suffering from the war, hunger and diseases. Although we're not billionaires, we can devote our time and our power. Maybe a little effort can make a big change in the whole world, as long as we take action.’’ I'll keep this in mind forever.

      All in all, Mei Hui Huang, my mom, is a hero to me. She’s not only the best mother, but also my lifetime mentor. I wish to follow her, becoming a respectable person.
