PEACE WALK WAY: proposed world's largest peace monument at one mile long, in human history! Hollywood walk of fame but for peacemakers.
A proposed peace walk will be the first “tangible, lasting” such walk way in the world. Instead of “Star Celebrities” as on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the celebrated here are the peace makers both locally and globally. Bronze plaques with name of these “peace makers” and the donor who has paid for the plaque, are set on a white granite side walk square. It would be comprised of an estimated 1200 such peace maker plaques lining both side of Wilshire Blvd.’s sidewalks.. Whimsic Alley store owner Stan Goldin and Artist Paul-Felix Montez, think Wilshire Blvd, between Fairfax Ave and La Brea Blvd, which is now called the “Miracle Mile” is the perfect place for such an effort. Located in the heart of the city’s museum row, it would become an important underscore to the new cultural and historic renaissance taking place in this area and city. Long a center of culture and the arts, it would now take it’s place as a new message, expressing in a deeply meaningful way the city’s diversity and future.
Both Mr. Golding and Montez, will be opening a Make Peace world headquarters, museum and store on 5464 Wilshire Blvd. which will represent the new “Make Peace” symbol” created by Mr. Montez and it’s future foundation aiding grassroots efforts for community building efforts world wide.
