Most Honorable Heroes of All Time, Nicholas Winton

Nicholas Winton is one of the most honorable heroes of all time due to his valiant efforts and success in saving the lives of about 669 children from Nazi Germany. Winton was essentially a normal person who had connections with British Officials and decided to make a change in the world. He was especially appalled by the treatment of children in Refugee Camps which were extremely brutal, and many may not have survived. This led him to start thinking of a way to get these children out of these extreme situations, eventually coming across the idea of using trains to transport children to Britain where he had already found them foster families. This incredible dedication to this heroism in itself is quite tear-jerking, however, the fact that he never planned to gain fame or popularity from this until his wife found a photo album and showed it to the News, is quite astonishing. Nicholas Winton was truly one of the most heroic people on this Earth, at least to me. He showed me what true heroism is and taught me about the real reasons to help someone; Not for popularity or fame, but instead, to save them from trouble or any pain they may be in.
