Mother Care

The woodpecker is one of the most interesting birds. The way the woodpecker uses its beak to drill a hole in a dry wood stem where it then inhabits and raises its young ones is fascinating. In this artwork, the artist shows how mother love does extend to all creatures, even birds. Here the mother is back home with a worm for the young one to feed. I was inspired by the interesting life style of these little birds to come up this artwork to show people what goes on in the woodlands.
