My Dad

Me and my Hero my DadMy Mom      When I had to figure out who my hero was, it didn't take me long.  I chose my Dad because he's a firefighter. He is the Captain at the fire station.  He has a lot of responsibilities and is in charge of all the firefighters.  He his a very hard worker, on his days off from the fire station he is a Real Estate agent. He is very smart and works very hard to provide for our family.  

     My Dad is a hero because he puts himself in dangerous situations every day to help others.  He goes into gas burning buildings to rescue people that can't get out and are suffering.  He sacrifices his life for others.  When he is at the station he trains himself and the other firefighters to be prepared for when they go on calls.  My Dad also has to see some very sad situations, like car accidents where people die.  

     Firefighters are Heroes, especially my Dad because he works hard every day to provide for me and my family. I am very proud and grateful for all he does for my family and our community. He works very long shifts and comes home tired a lot, but still is always there to help my mom and family.  It's not easy dealing with everything he does as a firefighter and everything he does at home for our family. My Dad will always be a hero in my eyes!
