Uncorruptable: In his fight for equality among races in South Africa, Nelson Mandela is a Hero for Generations
Uncorruptable: In his fight for equality among races in South Africa, I have a brief that the oppressors could have presented big offers like; money, land, cars (a vice which common in Africa) but Mandela didn't accept these offers to leave the rest of the people being oppressed. This is the major reason why I choose him to be a hero and also to make a portrait artwork of him. True Revolutionary Leader: Mandela led a revolution to fight for equal rights in South Africa for black people. He led a revolution with the people of South Africa and he became a president. He voluntarily set a mile stone of ruling and retire once you have served your term in office as president of South Africa something which is lacking in Africa. Mandela just said, I have served my term, let the people of South Africa elect a leader. This is also one of the reasons as to why I decided to make a portrait of Mandela as a hero. FORGIVING LEADERSHIP: Mandela suffered a lot (physically and emotionally) in his fight for equal rights including long imprisonment but when he became president, he didn't seek for revenge on the oppressors. He instead instituted a reconciliation approach of forgive, forget and we move forward to build our country.
