A hero that I know about that goes unnoticed is not only my hero, but he is my grandpa.

My hero’s name is Noe Moreno. He grew up in Nombre De Dios, Durango, Mexico. In his childhood he would play with his friends and he would help his parents with their jobs. But at the age of 15 he came to the U.S. . He’s overcome lots of obstacles after he got here, and I'm very proud of him. For example, some obstacles he overcame were leaving his family in Mexico, having somewhere to live, forming a family, and something he recently accomplished (which I'm very proud of) is becoming a U.S. citizen. His family inspires him to do what he does and helping people motivates him.

He is a hero to me because he is caring, devoted, thoughtful, good hearted, committed, hard working, humble, loving, respectful, funny, and selfless. He is all these things because ever since I was born he’s been like a dad to me because my biological dad wasn't. At times, even though he comes from work at 7:00 p.m. and has been working since very early in the morning and he is really tired, he still makes the time to take me to the store and get whatever I need, or is my father figure at Father-Daughter dances. And he always gives back to someone who is in need whether it's homeless people, sick people, or our family. And my grandpa is always there for me and always makes sure I have everything I need and nothing is missing.

My hero, also known as my grandpa, inspires me to always give back and always help people in need and that are in tough situations. I am so proud to have him as my grandpa and can't thank him enough for everything he's done for me, and I know my mom would agree with me too.
