Patsee Ober’s mission is to capture, in coastal tide pools and in the underwater environment, life’s most rarely seen moments. Inspired by a life-long love of the ocean, Ober produces stunning images that stir soulful feelings of wonder and excitement within her and, she hopes, within everyone who sees her photography. The intimacy of these magical places allows her to explore the constantly changing space, angles, reflections and light of the tide. Her images vary from sea urchins with microscopic tendrils to the panorama of colors lit up in a sea anemone. She sees the water as a magic mirror and strives to give others that same experience through the language of her tide pool photography. Ober is based in Laguna Beach and has been creating images for almost half a decade.
