During trimester 2 (2011-2012), Ms. Christopher's Del Norte High School honors students read Charles Harper's essay "Heroes", created WIKI sites about famous hero poems, reviewed the Character Counts Pillars, and debated the definition of a hero on our classroom discussion board.
After our extensive exploration of the concept of heroism students were asked to choose a person- living or dead- and argue that he/she is deserving of the title "hero".Please enjoy the student essays.
