Bobby Orr was born on March 20 in the year 1948 in Ontario in a little town called Parry Sound. Bobby Orr has two kids and a wife. Bobby Orr always wanted to be a professional hockey player in the National Hockey League, otherwise known as the NHL, when he grew up.

Bobby Orr is outstanding because I think that he is the greatest hockey player of all time. I think he was an admirable person because I am a hockey player too, and being in the NHL is a goal of mine, and being the best at anything is always a good goal. Growing up in Parry Sound, Ontario, Bobby Orr practised hockey a lot, but he was also lucky enough to be born with an amazing talent. Bobby Orr was such a good hockey player that people wanted to watch the game when he played, and young people were very inspired. Three important lessons that Bobby Orr can teach us are to be inspiring to others, to help others be the best they can be and to help people want to follow their goals. Bobby Orr is definitely a hero, to me and to many other people. He is a hero because he changed hockey forever, because of the way he played, he gave hockey a good name and he's very involved with helping others pursue their hockey dreams. Bobby Orr is alive today, he is a hockey agent, he has a family of his own, and he is still greatly admired for his skill and the way he has lived his life.
Bobby Orr has won so many awards it would be impossible for me to list them all. Here are a few. He won best defenseman in the league 8 years in a row. He played for the Boston Bruins and won the Stanley cup a few times, including one overtime game that he won in 40 seconds. He played hockey from 1966 to 1976 for Boston and then he switched over to Chicago for 1976 to 1979 untill he retired. He won so many awards, it is unbelievable.

I chose Bobby Orr as my hero because I play hockey, and I think he is very inspiring, helpful and awesome. He has done some incredible things in his life, and one is that he always finds time to attend a special awards dinner for children 17 and younger, who write a paragraph on what it takes to be a good sport. I think that's great. I think that having fun is just as important as trying hard, in sports.
