Connecting Roads

I painted my mother in acrylics to capture just one of the countless moments that we’ve bonded over together. My mother made the decision to work from home before my siblings and I were even born because she wanted to be there for us while my father finished getting his degree. She ended up creating her own successful business while caring for us, which will forever be an inspiration to me. She’s my role model, and we appreciate any time we can spend together– especially car rides. With busy schedules throughout the whole family, sometimes the daily drives to and from school would be the only time we could catch up. As I near college and moving out, I reflect on all the car rides we’ve shared together and look back on them fondly.
