Ned Kelly

A hero is someone who saves someone, helps someone or does something amazing. My hero is a Hero because he gave money to the poor and fought off the police. Ned Kelly was born in 1854 and died in 1880.

He was born in Victoria and his parents were Irish. He had seven brothers. He was not married, therefore he had no children. His age right now would be over 100 years. When he died he was twenty five years of age.

Ned Kelly’s last stand off in June, the gang was surrounded by the police at the hotel. They were prepared but Ned Kelly managed to get through the police. Then he went back fighting to help his friends and his brother. Luckily for the four of them, they had armour on.

However, Ned was shot so many times that he fell, then he was arrested. He was taken to the Melbourne Gaol where he was sentenced to death. He was hung there. Ned Kelly was an actual hero. He saved a young boy from drowning and he helped the poor.So that makes him a hero to them. Ned Kelly was reported as a robber at the age of sixteen. He stole a horse. In April 1878 a police officer named Fitzpatrick accused Ned’s mother of attacking him and said that Ned shot him in the wrist. His mother Mrs. Kelly was sent to gaol for three years. There was an eight hundred dollar reward for finding Ned Kelly. All up, Ned Kelly robbed two banks
