Ralph Nader

Ralph Nader was born on February 27th, 1934 in Winsted, Connecticut. He now lives in Washington, D.C., where he moved to in 1964.

Ralph Nader is a consumer advocate, lawyer and an author. He has published at least three books, including Unsafe at any Speed, The Ralph Nader Reader, and No Contest: Corporate Lawyers and the Perversion of Justice in America. He also has written many articles in magazines.

He founded over fifty organizations, such as Public Citizen, the Center for Study of Responsive Law, the Center for Auto Safety, the Public Interest Research Groups(PIRGs), Clean Water Action Project, the Pension Rights Center, the Disability Rights Center and the Project for Corporate Responsibility.

Ralph Nader ran for president in 1992, 1996 and 2000. He is a very active man and continues to work for consumer's rights.

Two great quotes of Ralph Nader are: "Everything I am has to do with the individual. My efforts focus on convincing citizens they can still play an convincing role in America today. They can take on large organizations and create change. They can improve the quality of their lives and those of others. They can make the future better-for all of us." Another great quote Nader said was: "You should not allow yourself the luxuries of discouragement and dispair. Bounce back immediately and welcome the adversity because it produces harder thinking and harder drive to get to the objective.
