Rachel Scott

by Trisha from Webb City, MO

A hero is someone who is very brave and honest, no matter what the situation, also someone who isn't afraid to fight for what he or she believes in.

To me, Rachel Scott is a hero because when her life was on the line, she still did what she believed was right, and didn't think twice about it.

Rachel Scott attended Columbine High School, and was very active in school activities. She was born in 1982, and died 17 short years later in 1999. She had a very scheduled life: On mondays she would go to work at the Subway shop, and during the rest of the week she was busy with school activities.

She was very strong in her religion, and she knew that if she kept her relationship with God then she would be taken care of if something were to happen.

I think Rachel Scott is a hero because she wasn't afraid to be brave and I think she is a very good role model for teenagers today.
