In the whole world, my hero is Ringo Starr. Ringo is a very humorous person. He has been in many bands, but only one has done him justice. His youth was much occupied. Ringo was a great drummer.

Ringo Starr is an amusing person. He is the oldest Beatle, but he acts like the youngest. He used to call his stepfather “stepladder” (The internet Beatles album: Ringo Starr Portfolio, W). During their last ‘concert’ in Mayfair, on top of their studios, apple corp., Ringo says, “on behalf of the group I hope we pass the audition” when they would never play for the general public as the Beatles again. Ringo always joked with or about the other group members. When Ringo Starr was young, although he was sick quite often, he was quite happy. Ringo Starr always says something silly.

Ringo Starr has been in many bands. He got his nickname, Ringo, from his first band, Eddie Clayton Skiffle group, for the many rings he wore (Joe Johnson, W). He was in his second band, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, when he met the Beatles in Hamburg (Microsoft® Encarta®, W). Ringo was the drummer for the Beatles after Pete best had left and Stu Sutcliff had died of a brain hemorrhage. Ringo Starr was a better drummer that Pete Best. Many people think that Ringo Starr has great technique and he was much faster than any drummer of his time. Ringo was the final drummer of the Beatles.

Ringo’s youth was very full. He was hospitalized at the age of six for appendicitis, and was later hospitalized at age thirteen because of pleurisy (The internet Beatles album: Ringo Starr Portfolio, W). Ringo Starr was sick most of his youth. At age fifteen, Ringo Starr could barely read and write (The internet Beatles album: Ringo Starr Portfolio, W). Ringo Starr’s parents broke up in 1943, leaving him in the care of his mother for most of his youth (Joe Johnson, W). Ringo never cared too much or too little about his family. Although his youth wasn’t perfect, when he became an adult his luck turned around.

Ringo Starr was a great drummer. Ringo Starr is also an exceptionally caring person. He has stuck with his three children, Zak, Jason and Lee, and his wife, Barbara, as well as his band throughout his years (Microsoft® Encarta®, W). The Beatles stuck together as though they were family. Ringo is one drummer who will be remembered throughout history.
