This is Reeve after the accident in a wheel chair.

In May, 1995, in Cupper Virginia Reeves horse Balked at a rail, tossing him forward. He landed head first because his hands were caught in the horses bridal. He then fractured his top vertebrae, causing him to be instantly paralyzed from the neck down. Fast medical attention saved his life. Reeves neck and spine literally had to be reconected. After six months in a rehabilitation center, Reeve got to go back to his home in New York.

After this Reeve raised a great amount of money for a cure to spine injurey. He also raised allot of public awareness about thin subject. In conclusion, I think that after all that Reeve went through, him being able to turn his life around, and be a great influence on people of all ages, makes him a hero.
