A hero is person who is not just famous, but who has done something worthy of being remembered, done something to benefit not just himself/herself, but something to benefit others, especially those most in need.

I consider singer and performer Ricky Martin a hero because he has this foundation named the "Ricky Martin Foundation." The mission is to advocate for the well-being of children around the world in critical areas such as education, health and social justice. Ricky Martin lives in Miami, Florida. He's still alive and singing.

All heroes have in common their good actions: charity, freedom, equality, etc. Heroes don’t have to be famous people or from wealthy families; everyone can be a hero!

Ricky Martin is a hero to me because I think his intentions and foundation are really giving a helping hand to those in need. It is very important to think about the others and if you have the ability and opportunity to give, you should try!

This hero is very important to me because, besides being a fan, I think he's really kind-hearted. He is really a hero because he supports children without homes. He has changed my vision about wealthy and famous people because I thought those kinds of people were heartless and blinded by money, but I no longer think like that.

With his foundation, Ricky has built homes for children who lost their homes in the tsunami and is still helping and supporting them by giving food, water, clothes and blankets.
