Rosa parks was born in 1913 and died 2005. She got married to Raymond Parks. They were barbers and got $23 a week. Rosa wanted her raise to get treated the same. She told herself that she was going to do something about it, and so she did. Rosa was going to be brave.

No one could stop her. Whites should have been nicer to blacks; there is no difference between them, but it doesn’t matter. There were signs that said "Whites Only." Whites got better water fountains and schools.

Rosa was sitting on the bus and a white guy told her to move . She was very tired.

She said no, so she got arrested December 1, 1955. She was fined for violating a city ordinance, and this began a movement that helped end legal segregation.

Rosa was 92 when she died. She got the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Everybody should look up to her because she gave blacks a better future.
