A hero needs to

Fight

Sly

Have power

Small but strong

Quiet but bold.

A tiny figure

Who can’t talk or walk 

Probably not as smart. 

My hero 

Can bark

Can run

Can bite.

When encountered with danger she alerts

Raising her keen, pointy ears to the sky.

When contented with happiness she barks  

With joy spread among her crystal clear eyes.

When she sees me 

She runs 

She runs until she reaches my comfy arms 

letting out the excessive amount of exuberance

jumping up and down, licking my face side to side.

My hero doesn’t need to 

Fight

Fly

Or have powers.

All that matters is

My hero’s power comes from the heart.
