My hero is Joe Sakic.
Joe was in a bus crash and four of his friends died so he dedicated his career to them . Joe was born in Burnaby, British Columbia on July 7,1969. Joe is 5,11 and weighs around 195lbs.
In Joe's career of hockey he's number 19. He's been number 19 since the beginning of his career. He shoots left. During a game he knows where the puck is at all times and where his team mates are too. His first NHL goal was on October 8, 1988 VS Hatford. And Joe Sakic plays center for Colorado Avalanches.
In 1986 Joe got the WHL Jim Proggott memorial trophy. In 1991 he got silver at the world championships. In 1994 he got gold at the world championships. And in 1996 he won the Stanley Cup for Colorado Avalanche. He is my hero because he plays for my favourite team.
