Samuel Morse

A hero must help others in any way he can. Samuel Finley Breese Morse was a hero because he helped others by making the telegraph and made many generous donations to others.

He helped so many people with his invention. When he created the telegraph, the only long range communication system was the mail, and it took weeks for letters to be delivered. He was later pushed to the side by Alexander Graham Bell. In Europe, a similar device had been unsuccessfully invented. Even though a similar device had already been created, he was able to go the United States, get a patent, and create a line from the capital to Baltimore. Samuel Finley Breese Morse created the best form of long range communication of his time.

With his prospers of the telegraph, he donated to many others. He was a very generous man who helped people in need. He helped everyone he could and kept very little for himself. In his old age, he was quite generous to the people he could help and very humble with his wealth. Samuel Morse was very respectful to others and was caring to all.

Samuel Morse was a very accomplished and generous man who helped many different people. Samuel Morse was a very humble man who helped others with what they needed. With being such a caring and generous man, who is often overlooked, he deserves to be called a hero. He inspires me because people always take their cell phones for granted but Samuel Morse helped shape the modern telephone.
