September 11 Fire Fighters

by Cherae, Kendra and Eula from Cleveland

On September 11,2001, the Twin Towers were tragically destroyed. Over 1000 people were killed, and many firefighters were killed trying to save the lives of others. People, police and also firefighters were severely hurt. This tragedy took place in New York City.

The firefighters played a good role in trying to help all the people evacuate the towers. They also are the bravest of them all. They sacrificed their own lives to do what was needed. The fire-fighters have more courage than anyone else's to put ther lives at risk for others.

We think all firefighters are brave and courageous, but Sept. 11 firefighters were the most courageous of them all. It is a real honor to have people wanting to be firefighters to help save the world. From this day on, Sept. 11 will be a holiday for us.

We chose the firefighters for our heroes because we feel that they were the ones who played the biggest role. For the firefighters that are now deceased and that are still thankfully living, they deserve a Hero award. In their honor we thank those who risked ther lives.

Even though this was in 2001 we still remember to this day those who lost their lives, as if it were a resting day. To the people who lost their lives and who lost loved ones, we want to say God Bless you and God Bless America.

Extra Info

My name is Cherae Chennault. My group members and I chose the firefighters because we think they are the most courageous people out here. I feel they risked their lives for those who they did or didn't know and I am most thankful for that. So to America: stay strong and God Bless you all.

My name is Eula McDowell and I just want to say to all the people who lost a loved one, God Bless and may God be with you. Also remember don't ever take someone for granted cause you never know when you will lose them.

My name is Kendra Cooper and I would like to say that even though I did not lose a loved one, my heart goes out to those who did. I will remember this day until my last breath. May God be with you all.
