Simone Veil

by Romane Gossart from gondecourt in France

I'm going to tell you about my favorite hero. Her name is Simone Veil. She is french. That's why I selected her, because for me a hero is someone who's willing to take the dangerous road, to go where most people will not, and to put everything on the line for what they believe in. She was born July 13, 1927 in Nice and she died June 30, 2017 in Paris. Simone Veil was a magistrate and a French stateswoman.

She passed the law for the abortion, and she was appointed minister of health. Simone Veil struggled to fight against the discrimination of women. When she was young, she survived the Nazi occupation deportation also. She was very brave, determined, clever, and generous.

Simone Veil is an example for me because she was courageous and she had a lot of self-confidence.
