It’s about making sure everybody is having a good time and loving and living and enjoying life” (Snoop Dogg). Snoop Dogg was born as Calvin. His family members are Shantay (married), (son) Spanky, and (daughter) ChordT. Snoop Dogg has won many awards and attended many ceremonies and events. Snoop Dogg has had many events when he made his albums and music, played in movies and shows, and got rewards. I think the day when he had his children was the best day for him. Snoop Dogg lives in Sherman Oaks, CA. “Generally, the term 'hero' is given only to the most exceptional or generous individuals - those who commit great deeds for the sake of others rather than themselves. Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZbHVQw4B-M). Snoop Dogg is caring and persevering, therefore he is a hero.

Snoop Dogg is a caring person. Thanksgiving is a time when people come together to eat and be thankful for everything that happens to them. Snoop Dogg wanted to give to the people what they cannot get for their families or others (Biography In Context). Snoop Dogg donated turkeys for Thanksgiving Day. Then the people in the city can have a turkey to eat with their families and be thankful for what they have or have been given. Donating turkeys allowed them to get along and forget all about their problems. Snoop Dogg is a person that wants people to get along, making sure people are having a good time, loving, and enjoying life. Snoop Dogg says, “Life is about growing and evolving. I feel like my life has been in stages, and the stages I went through when I was younger allowed me to grow into the man I am today.” Snoop Dogg used to coach football and it was all caught on camera. He was head coach of his son Cordell’s youth football team. Music gave Snoop Dogg the power to create a football league. But football has taken him to places that music could have never taken him to. Snoop Dogg cares for his team he wants them to succeed in life; so he tells them, “One thing about life, you’re gonna lose more than you win, But are you gonna to get up?" That is what he says to his team, because he wants to inspire them to become better. He cares for his team. They don't know that love is involved. They are family. Every player that plays for the team is part of the family. Snoop Dogg cares for the people who have it tough in their lives, so he helps them in every way that he can.

Snoop Dogg often advocated for artists that didn't have money to achieve their goals. “The 'American Idol' and 'X Factor' shows, they're great shows. But I think I need to make a show like that, directed straight to the hood, to the artists that don't get the attention that they have the money to make themselves representable” ("Regional Mexican Sweet New Strain"). He recognized the hard work that artists like him had to go through. Like those artists, he persevered until he reached his goals. Snoop Dogg was faced with a lot of tough choices, but he stuck with his goals. “Joined a gang/crip and was once accused of murder, arrested for drugs, went to prison. Started making music to stay out of trouble. Married his high school sweetheart, filed for divorce, but never did” ("Snoop Dogg." Contemporary Authors Online). He could have continued down the path he was on, but he chose to follow his dreams. Even when it came to his family, he persevered until he was successful. Snoop Dogg persevered even when life was tough. No matter what, he kept fighting on till the very end to succeed in life. Because of Snoop Dogg's caring nature and persevering attitude, he is a hero to many others like me. Snoop Dogg always thought of others less fortunate than him. He also worked hard, against obstacles, to achieve his goals. This is a man who is a hero. He started off in a gang, then went to jail. When he got out he stared to make music to stay out of trouble. He was always there for others. “Recalling how he raced to be at Tupac's side in hospital after he was shot in Las Vegas in September, 1996, Snoop told the audience how he prayed his friend would pull through” ("Snoop Dogg." Who's Who Among African Americans, Gale).

Snoop Dogg is a humble person who wants to help people, cares and perseveres with his family and others. He is my hero who inspired me to write about him, his songs, his acting, his effort on making the place a better one, is one thing that everyone loves about him. Snoop Dogg is a hero to me.
