Steven Saxton was my best friend. Someone I knew well, and loved being around. Steven and I enjoyed swimming during the hot summer months, and staying indoors playing games and playing around on the computer.
Steven was not only a hero to myself, but many others. At school he was always kind to everyone and included everyone in everything. Steve was truly an angel.
Steven along with 4 of my other best friends were out on the lake Memorial Weekend. A freak accident occured when suddenly a "sea-doo" watercraft, lost control and slammed into the boat with my dear friends inside. They were all knocked out, and Steve, unfortunatly, struck his head and chest area on the windshield and was passed out. He drowned.
The news came to me in a terrible way. My four best friends were all injured now, one of them dead. Perhaps the closest one to me. Every day is a struggle in trying to understand why. Why Steve. Why someone so full of love and generosity.
The odd thing about the whole ordeal is that Steve knew something was going to happen to him. Before, he always told me that before he died, he would see a Dave Matthews Concert and have an "all-nighter" with Quinn and Clay. Those two things happened the night before he died. Also, that weekend, he was so close to the group. He did everything with us and even brought up his funeral. Steve will always live in my heart and he has truly been my life long hero through it all. I love you Steve.
