The most important freedom I have would probably be my freedom of religion and right next to that would be my rights as a woman in America. Women's rights were also most important to Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

Elizabeth was born in 1815 and died in 1902. During that time, she had seven children. She always had her own opinion. As a child, she was a tomboy. She played many sports and was very good at them. Since she was a little girl, her dad was not proud of her like he would have been if she was a boy. He was ashamed of Elizabeth. She was very brave to go against her father's will.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton showed determination by going to the Seneca Falls Convention which was held to address the condition of women's rights. When she went to the convention, she made friends and had to sit behind a curtain.

Elizabeth made many friends while working for women's rights. Two of her closest friends were Susan B. Anthony and Lucretia Mott. Both of them helped her achieve her goal. Since Elizabeth couldn't travel and give speeches because of her children, Susan B. Anthony traveled for her.

If it hadn't been for Elizabeth Cady Stanton, I wouldn't be able to vote, go to a public school, or attend a public college. I have taken advantage of my right to go to a public school instead of a private school. Elizabeth Cady Stanton had many heroic traits.
