I've chosen Elvis Stojko to be my hero. Elvis is one of the best male figure skaters in the world. He was born March 22, 1972 in New Market, Ontario. His home town is Richmond Hill, Ontario. His height is 57 and weights 158lbs. The club he skates/skated out of is Ice Wars, Philadelphia. Elvis also enjoys dirt biking, ski-dooing and jet skiing.
Elvis is a generous to a lot of kids and adults. Elvis is Kids Ambassador for Ronald McDonald Children's Charities of Canada. This non profit organization helps children with serious illnesses and disabilities- Elvis spends time with his young friends, sharing in their activities and their activities and their hopes.

Hes also very unique. Usually skaters spend all there time figure skating, but when Elvis isn't on the ice or helping young children, you can find him doing all sorts of activities such as skiing, kung fu, ski-dooing, artistry, jet skiing, dirt biking, plays guitar and also street bikes. In all the activities he attends he still manages to be one of the top male figure skaters in the world.

He is very determined. He came back after his injury and still did well. Through the pain and agony, he kept his promise to himself. He tried everything, almost everything worked out. But almost everything wasn't enough. It was enough for him, though. When he finally collapsed in pain in the "Kiss and Cry" area in Nagano, it was enough for the rest of the world, too.
I chose Elvis Stojko because he inspires me in many different ways. Both in his skating, his active lifestyle and will to help others. He has changed the lives of many young children, as well as my own. Elvis Stojko is truly my hero.
