My love for words and the process of writing poetry that has the potential to heal and uplift both the author and the listener inspired me to write this poem.
tentative steps toward a poem
A warm quiver
heated by heart
can mobilize
a
forward
movement
a motion bourne of longing
and courage
that becomes more exacting
as the brain diffuses
the eyes narrow
the skin
electrifies.
while listening
becomes a river
and the spirit
perks to softly
attend
to treasures of that ocean.
resonances that
tentatively
crack the world
and heal the heart
