by Kamran Azimi from San Diego, California in United States

121207Ali In 1967https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_AliThe man, the myth, the legend. The best boxer that ever lived. There are many heroes that our born in our world and this person was definitely one of them. He was one of the most mentoring people. His name was, Muhammad Ali. Muhammad was born on January 17, 1942. He had very important people in his life like his wife, daughter, and his coach/mentor who helped him through thick and thin. He won 56 total boxing matches in his whole life and he was a heavy weight champion. Sadly, he passed away June 3rd, 2016. Muhammad Ali Possessed courage and mentorship, therefore he is a hero.

Muhammad Ali was a hero because of the way he mentored people for how they should go through life. One of Muhammad Ali’s famous quotes are “Don't count the days; make the days count” (USA Today line 4). He says this because often times people who are to worried about the future and try to get to it to fast and not realizing how much they are missing with the days in the present. These days are what will make the future, the future. “It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe” (USA today line 7). The small steps to get to the large ones are the toughest to go through. To get to your big goal or dream you will have to go through small things that will get you there. Sometimes it is very difficult to get to the big mountain. Muhammad had amazing quotes and he knew how people felt if they were going through a hard time in there life.

Muhammad Ali was a hero because he knew how people felt about losing or not trying their hardest and he always strived to explain how you should always try your best. "Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even” (USA today line 11). What he means by this is that getting defeated or failing on something is good. “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life” (USA today line 15). Taking healthy risks are what will make your life better. You will accomplish more he says and it is true. To reach your full potential taking risks will get you there.

Muhammad Ali possessed amazing qualities like mentorship and courage. Which is what he showed people all throughout his life. He taught people that there are better things in life than always being scared or worried. He showed that suffering and working hard in the beginning will always lead to amazing things. Muhammad Ali inspires me and others because of how he would never stop dreaming and he knew no matter what he could accomplish any goal he had. He was truly a legend, and he will never stop inspiring people all around the world.
