Malala Yousafzai is a hero to me, and surely a hero to others. She inspired me through her bold words, courageous actions, and passion, as well as her choice to speak up for what's right. Education is one of the most important tools for a person, and her commitment to supply those tools to others is admirable. She was shot to prevent her from speaking up, and yet that only encouraged her to continue with her mission. I hope that someday, I can be that person to somebody else. This is why I chose to embody her in my painting.
