One of the best swimmers was born on February 26, 1973 and she never gives up. She is one of the most decorated Olympians in history, winning twelve medals.

Jenny Thompson started swimming because she had an attraction to swimming and so she started at a young age, demonstrating that she was really good. She started in Seacoast Swimming Association at the age of 14-years-old in 1987. She appeared in an international competition in 1987. Her parents helped her because they saw that she loved to swim and she was really good.

"Jenny seemingly retired from swimming after the 2000 season with ten Olympic medals, eight of gold , one of silver and one of bronze, twelve gold medals in the World Championship. However, she returned in the Pan Pacific Swimming Championship where she won five gold medals." Jenny Thompson was named the 1993-1998 USA swimming swimmer of the year. Jenny Thompson impressed me with the passion that she had in swimming. She started at a very early age and she never gave up, even if she competed with women who were older than she. I think she had a lot of bravery for not being intimidated. Not everyone can handle that pressure. She demonstrated that if you want to win and be the best, you can do it.

Right now, what I like is swimming, I started swimming at the age of four and I like to swim a lot, but I really don’t know if that will be my career. Jenny Thompson is a natural swimmer. I admire that her dream was to win a medal of gold in a World Championship and she never gave up. That teaches me that if you have a dream you should never give up and never leave your dreams, even when you have many obstacles. I've learned from Jenny Thompson that YOU SHOULD KEEP DREAMING AND FIGHTING TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.
