Tim Clark Kimber Clark What is the definition of a hero? According to Google, a hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. When most people hear this definition, they think about Spiderman, Batman, or someone out of a Marvel movie, but many heroes can be seen in reality. One person who is a hero in Gaffney is Tim Clark. Although Tim does not have a cape, an outfit, or a superpower, he has been risking his life as a member of the Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. He is a hero to many people for different reasons.
Next, he is a hero because he always comes home to his daughters. Kimber and Kiley Clark rely on their dad to stay safe so he can come home. He reminds people of a character in a certain book called the Odyssey. The book was an old tale about a man named Odysseus. Odysseus was a man who was the king of a place called Ithaca. In Ithaca, the people loved and worshiped the gods. One day, after his son was born, he had to go to an island called Troy to fight in a bloody war. He then promised his wife that one day he would return home alive. He and his men arrived at Troy and despite many obstacles, they won the war. After the war, Odysseus, out of pride claimed that he had won the war without the gods. This angered the gods and made him and his men have to go through many hardships trying to get home for over 20 years. He learned his lesson and finally returned home just as he had promised his wife in the beginning. This story reminds people of Clark because everyone knows he will always come home to his girls.
In conclusion, Tim Clark is a real hero. Although he does not have a fancy outfit, cape, or a cool superpower, he helps protect the world from all the evil. He is like a part of the sun that shines as much as possible on the world. Despite his burdens, he goes through life protecting this world with courage and pride.
