My hero is my mom. She is the one person I know I can trust. Every time I get in a jam, she is there to help me out. there are a lot of times I get in fights with my friends and when they call and she knows I am upset, she'll tell them I am in the shower or something like that.
Sometimes I'll ask,"If you could go back and change one thing about the past, would you?" Her anwer is always the same. "I woudn't change a thing." Then I'd ask why and she'd say "Because that would change this time, meaning I might not have you."
It must have been really hard for her, but she pulled through for me. She gave up what was left of her youth for me. She was only 17 when I was born and when my biological father found out, he ran. To this day my mom has been a single parent, but she has loved twice as much.
When I look back and think about the times my mom has been there for, no matter what the problem, it makes me believe I will never be as good as the parent she was. I love my mother and nothing anybody says can change that.
