Tony Quenneville

by Emily Blanchet Quenneville from Cornwall, Ontario in Canada

Heroes are often based on powers and saving people. But heroes in my eyes are someone you admire, someone you look up to as a role model. My hero is my father Tony. He's no fictional character but he sure is my role model. He was born in 1983 and raised in Ormstown and Huntingdon, Quebec till he was 10 years old. Tony is a loving, humble, and kind father to 3 beautiful children. Tony inspires us to be the best person we can.

As you can see my hero is my father. He may look just like a regular person, but to Eva, Salem and I, he's the best dad\mentor anyone can ask for. He teaches us accountability and responsibility. My dad is a stay-at-home dad after an accident. He's supposed to go back to work when he's all healed up. He pays what he can with what he has. Tony supports me and my sisters 24\7 with every decision we decide to make about our future. He guides us into the right direction. For example, I was having difficulty with a boyfriend. I told him the whole situation and how I felt about it, and he explained to me what I should do and why. He's seen it all, mentally abusive relationships, physically abusive relationships, good relationships, etc. It truly is sad seeing someone so strong feel so weak.
