Umay Ana

Umay Ana is a sacred goddess in Turkish mythology who represents fertility, abundance, and the protector of life. She is believed to protect children and women from evil; she symbolizes family order and the balance of nature. In mythology, she holds an important place as a force that facilitates childbirth, increases abundance, and protects life. The color white and the crescent moon are her main symbols. Like the moon, she is a source of inspiration that reflects the light of renewal, tranquility, and fertility onto the world. Umay Ana continues to be a cultural source of inspiration symbolizing the creative and transformative power of women in art, literature, and social awareness initiatives. Umay Ana is my hero and the inspiration for my artwork.
