“Well, look at how it’s paid off”

For my piece, I drew Conan Gray, a pop singer. What I think differentiates him from many other large pop-stars is that he was physically and mentally abused his entire younger life and told by the people that should love him most that he wouldn't be able to do anything with his life. He was as well raised in Texas as a Asian- American which as you can guess, brought its own complications at school. Through all of his many years of abuse, bullying, and self-hatred, he kept a smile on his face and continued on to pursue his music dream and became a large success, which is why a drew him performing at one of his largest shows with a huge smile on his face showing how far he'd come. "Well, look at how it's paid off" is a quote from the song Winner off of his newest album, and it's a line he always sings very happily in a tone of proudness for the success he's created himself. He is one of my biggest hero's as he shows that you can do anything you dream no matter what others tell you.
