Hi
Taken by finnI chose to write about Winston Churchill because he inspires me and many others to stand up to evil. During the Second World War, Sir Winston Churchill served on the side of the Allies as the Prime Minister of England, alongside Franklin Delano Roosevelt the president of the U.S.A. Joseph Stalin the leader of the Soviet Union, and William Lyon Mackenzie the prime minister of Canada.
Winston Churchill was born on November 30, 1874 in Woodstock, U.K.Winston Churchill had 1 brother named Jack Churchill, his parents were named Lady Jennie Churchill and Lord Randolph Churchill. Winston Churchill grew up in Blenheim Palace, England. Winston Churchill attended 4 different schools. They were called, Stoke Brunswick School, St George's school, Harrow School and The Royal Military College. When Winston Churchill was a kid, he wanted to be a writer. His Mother influenced him because she was a journalist in the New York Times and as a young guy Winston Churchill wanted to become an author/journalist.
As a young kid Winston Churchill struggled to learn French and Latin. He overcame this challenge by remaining in England where he only needed to know English. When Winston Churchill was made prime minister in 1940 that was the event that contributed most to his success, this event contributed to his success because if he had never been made prime minister he would not be internationally famous. Winston Churchill was a brave, passionate and smart guy. Winston Churchill demonstrated head his smarts by launching attacks in the right places at the right time. Winston Churchill also demonstrated his bravery and passion by continuing the war, no matter how bad it looked. Winston Churchill's father died at the age of 46 and Winston Churchill was heard to say that anyone who lived in their house could sense that there was a tragedy in the background of everyday life. Winston Churchill was knighted in 1953. This is just one of many awards that he received in his life.
