In many African societies, Ugandan women are assigned the duty of insuring that a family has enough to eat. Thus, the duty of food stability in a family is a role taught to a woman even in her childhood years. In our society, women do most of agricultural work and thus a good harvest from the farm is something to treasure for the rest of the family as well. In fact, a woman who experiences bountiful returns from the farm is seen as a good worker. This inspired me to produce this artwork.
